PM Oli Embarks on Official Visit to China

Kathmandu: Prime Minister KP Sharma Oli departed for Beijing this morning on a four-day official visit to China, following an invitation from Chinese Premier Li Qiang. The visit, scheduled from December 2 to 5, aims to strengthen bilateral relations and explore avenues for mutual cooperation.

According to the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, PM Oli will meet Chinese President Xi Jinping and hold discussions with Premier Li Qiang, focusing on matters of mutual interest and collaboration. Additionally, Chairman of the Standing Committee of China's National People's Congress, Zhao Leji, will also meet with the Nepali Prime Minister.

During his visit, PM Oli is slated to address an event at Peking University and participate in the Nepal-China Business Forum. The forum, co-organized by the Nepali Embassy in Beijing, the China Council for the Promotion of International Trade, and the Federation of Nepalese Chambers of Commerce and Industry, aims to enhance economic ties between the two nations.

The Prime Minister is accompanied by his spouse Radhika Shakya and a high-level delegation comprising Foreign Affairs Minister Dr. Arzu Rana Deuba, Chief Advisor Bishnu Prasad Rimal, Economic Advisor Dr. Yubaraj Khatiwada, parliamentarians, senior officials, private sector representatives, and media personnel.

The delegation is expected to return to Nepal on December 5.
